The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a new program designed specifically for parents and caregivers of middle school-aged children. The Parent Project is unique because it’s geared for the adults and caregivers supporting this age group, focusing on practical tools, communication skills, and strategies parents and caregivers can use at home to navigate the middle school years.
The Parent Project is a 10-week series, with each class building on the one before it. For the best results, parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend all 10 classes, as each session introduces concepts and tools that are used throughout the course. Classes are held on Monday nights from 6pm-8pm at the CCSO Headquarters building in La Plata. Participants must be residents of Charles County.
